Binged a 14 season procedural and hit a wall at season 9

Started watching one of those long running cop shows from 2005, figured I could power through all 14 seasons before my vacation ended in Austin. By season 9 the main character got replaced and the tone shifted so hard I almost quit. Is it worth pushing through the last 5 seasons or is jumping ship the right call for anyone whos done this before?
