Just realized my Saturday morning TV habit is completely different now
I remember as a kid in the 80s waking up at 6am to catch Bugs Bunny on the local station before it switched to weekend news at 8. Now I can stream three seasons of a British crime drama in one rainy afternoon without ever seeing a commercial. Does anyone else find that having all the choices actually makes it harder to pick something to watch?

Ha, "having all the choices actually makes it harder" - that hits way too close to home. I can spend a full Saturday morning just staring at Netflix scrolling through menus before realizing it's already noon and I've watched nothing but the previews. Back in the day you just took what was on and dealt with it, even if it was some weird nature documentary about slugs for the fourth time in a row. Now I've got this weird paralysis where I'll skip past perfectly good shows because I'm convinced something better is hiding three clicks away. You ever catch yourself doing that with the streaming apps too?

My buddy Dan and I were just talking about this same thing last week but with music. He's got 15,000 songs on his phone and spends half his commute skipping tracks instead of just listening. I think it's part of this bigger thing where we've got too many paths to take so we freeze up. Same reason I'll stand in the grocery store for ten minutes staring at pasta sauce when I only ever buy the same two kinds. More options just means more time wasted second-guessing yourself, not better results.
