My brother told me my show picks were too predictable, so I tried something new
He said I only watched shows with big twists or cliffhangers, like 'Dark' or 'Money Heist'. So last month, I forced myself to start 'Joe Pera Talks With You', which is just a calm show about a quiet guy in Michigan. It changed how I see a binge, honestly. Now I look for shows with a different kind of pull, not just suspense. Has anyone else had a friend push them out of their comfort zone with TV?

Actually, I think you meant 'Money Heist' is Spanish (it's from Spain, not Mexico). But yeah, getting pushed into a new genre is the best.

Got my wife into true crime after years of her only watching baking shows. She hated the first episode but now she's the one telling me about new documentaries.
