What kind of recap even covers the feel of that first season? You miss the whole slow burn of learning the rules, who hates who and why. Jumping ahead just gives you plot points without the weight behind them. Your buddy robbed you of that gut punch when it all clicks into place. Starting with season two is like showing up to a party after all the good conversations happened.

I started over from season one myself and it made the payoff so much better.
