My second watch of Dark hit totally different after 6 months

I first binged Dark last October and honestly struggled to keep everyone straight. I put it down after episode 4. Then my buddy in Austin kept pushing me to try again, so I restarted it this month with a family tree printed out. Huge difference. Having that chart made the time jumps click and I finished all 3 seasons in 9 days. Now I want to rewatch the whole thing a third time just to catch the little details. Anyone else need a second go before a show finally landed for them?
