My whole weekend got ruined by a show that just stopped being good

I was super into this new series called 'Chrono Cops' and planned to watch all 10 episodes last Saturday. The first three were amazing, but then the plot just fell apart and got really boring by episode five. Has anyone else had a show start great and then totally waste your time?

It's like when a restaurant gives you a great appetizer and then serves a terrible main course. You're already invested, so you just sit there disappointed.

Episode 4 is usually where shows like that fall apart, I swear. I watched something similar happen with 'The Last Kingdom' - first season was killer, then by season 3 I was just hate-watching it. Did you actually finish all 10 episodes or did you bail after ep 5? Because I'm curious if the payoff at the end is ever worth pushing through something that clearly lost its way. The comparison to restaurants totally nails it too, you're sitting there thinking "man I should just leave but I already ordered the main course." What was it about episode 4 or 5 that killed it for you - the acting, the writing, or just the whole plot going sideways?

Check the episode reviews before you commit a whole day. I look at the user ratings for each episode on IMDB, the big drop in scores usually tells you exactly where it goes bad. Saves me from finishing a season that falls apart halfway through. What show let you down the worst?
