Power went out mid-way through season 3 of The Expanse last night

I was finally getting into it after everyone told me to stick with it. Power flickered and died right as a big space battle was starting. I sat there in the dark for 20 minutes waiting for it to come back on. When it did, my Roku had reset to some home screen and I lost my spot. Had to scroll through 3 seasons to find the exact episode and then rewatch 10 minutes of buildup. Has anyone else had a show ruined by a random outage right at a cliffhanger?

Something that's saved me: take a quick phone pic of the episode title and timestamp before any big moment. Saves a ton of scrolling in the dark. Roku usually saves where you were if it doesn't crash though, unlucky timing.

Honestly the Roku crashing thing is why I just gave up and bought a cheap Fire Stick for like 20 bucks. Haven't had the issue since because the OS is way more stable in my experience. That photo trick is smart though, especially for people who binge watch a lot of shows with confusing episode names like Dark or Westworld. Never thought to snap a pic of the timestamp, thats a good habit for anyone recording their own gameplay or streams too. I feel like most people just rely on the resume feature and get burned when it fails right before a huge reveal. Kinda wild how a simple phone camera can save you from that awkward 15 minute hunt trying to find where you left off.
