Rant: Season 3 of that show totally ruined everything season 1 and 2 built up

Honestly I binged the first two seasons in like 4 days and it was awesome. Great writing, characters actually acted like people. Then season 3 dropped and it felt like a different show entirely. Watched the first 3 episodes and noticed the pacing got super slow, dialogue started sounding like bad fan fiction. Some forum said the original showrunner left after season 2 and a new team took over. That explains everything. Has anyone else noticed a show go downhill that fast after a change behind the scenes?

Wait, is it confirmed the showrunner left after season 2? I thought I read somewhere that the original creator was still involved as a consultant for season 3, just not the main showrunner anymore. Honestly, even if they're around in name only, it still explains why the writing felt so disconnected from what came before. It's a bummer when a good show loses its creative core like that.

Man that's rough lol. Season 2 had such a tight rhythm with the character arcs and the payoff felt earned. Then season 3 comes in with those weirdly long monologues that just don't fit the characters at all. The pacing completely killing the momentum is the worst part because it makes you wonder if the new team even watched the earlier episodes. Solidarity on that showrunner swap though, it happens way too often and ruins so many shows.
