Showerthought: I wrote off animated shows for grown ups until my buddy left episode one of Arcane running on his couch in Denver
I always figured cartoons were for kids or comedy, so when my buddy in Denver said to just watch the first episode of Arcane I rolled my eyes and grabbed another beer. Two hours later I had burned through three episodes and was texting him at 1am asking how many seasons there were. Turns out it is only 18 episodes total across two seasons, and I finished the whole thing in four nights, which is fast for me since I usually tap out after two episodes of anything. The art alone had me pausing to look at backgrounds, and the story hit way harder than most live action stuff I have sat through. Now I am wondering what else I skipped just because of the animation style. What is the one show you refused to watch for a dumb reason and then binged in a week?
