Thinking back to when my whole block would tune in for the season finale
I remember when a big show's finale meant everyone on my street was watching at the same time. We'd leave our windows open and hear the same laughs or gasps from next door. The day after, people would stop by the fence to chat about what went down. Now, I finish a whole season in one night, and my neighbor is three episodes behind. At family dinners, we can't spoil anything because someone hasn't started it yet. It feels like we lost that instant connection over shared stories. I miss knowing we all saw the same twist at the same time. Do you think streaming made it harder to have those group moments?

My friend had to avoid social media for a week just so his family could catch up on that new show, lol.

Lol, I've totally been that friend. Last month I had to delete Twitter off my phone because my feed was full of spoilers for that fantasy series, and I was only on episode two. Ended up binge-watching the whole thing in one weekend just to catch up, which was probably not healthy, lmao.

Funny, I see it the other way. My friends and I have a group chat just for one show, and we all watch the new episode the same night it drops. It's like our own little viewing party. The pressure to avoid spoilers, like @the_tyler mentioned, just makes the shared watch more special when we all finally get there.
