Warning: I spent 8 hours on 'The Rings of Power' and it was a total waste

Everyone was saying it was the next big fantasy show, but I found the pacing painfully slow and the characters flat. I forced myself through the whole first season hoping it would get better, but it never did. Has anyone else felt let down by a show that got so much hype?

Agree with @kellygrant, my stubborn watch-throughs have wasted more time than a broken-down moving truck.

Totally get what you mean about the "painfully slow" pacing. I did the same thing, kept watching because it had to get good, right? My own fault for thinking my stubbornness would pay off. I've got a whole list of shows where my main takeaway is just how many hours I'll never get back.
