Wasted $60 on a show that everyone hyped up and I still don't get the fuss
Last month I saw this crime drama popping up everywhere on my feed. People kept saying it was the best thing on streaming right now. I paid $60 for the whole season on Amazon because my free trial ended. The first three episodes were so slow I kept checking my phone. By episode five I was forcing myself to watch just to get my money's worth. The big twist at the end felt super predictable and I called it halfway through. I feel like I could have used that $60 on a pizza and a new book instead. Has anyone else fallen for the hype on a show and regretted the purchase that fast?

Honestly this happens way too often and I blame the whole hype machine. It's like people built this show up in their heads and decided it was amazing before they even watched it and now everyone's afraid to admit it was just okay. I've started waiting like a month after something comes out to see if the buzz is still real or if it vanishes. The pizza and book thing is real though, I wasted $40 on a game everyone swore was the best thing ever and it crashed every twenty minutes. Social media makes everything seem like the next big thing but half the time it's just average stuff with good marketing.

Well hold on now, you paid $60 for a full season on Amazon? That sounds steep. Most TV seasons on Amazon are like $20 to $30 unless you're buying a box set or something. Maybe you bought the whole series in HD or there was a pricing glitch. Either way, that stings. Don't you check the price before you hit buy?
