Watching a show at my friend's cabin totally changed how I pick what to watch next

I was up at their place near Lake Tahoe last weekend and we started this show called 'The Bear'. We watched all of season one in a single night, like 8 episodes straight. I usually just pick random stuff on my own and get bored after two episodes. But being stuck in a cabin with no other plans made us just go for it. Now I try to pick shows that have a whole season out and clear my schedule for a few hours. Anyone else have a place or trip that got them into a new way of watching?

Sounds like you just had a free weekend with nothing better to do. It's not some big life change, it's just a cabin trip. People binge shows all the time, that's why Netflix drops whole seasons. You'll probably go back to your old habits once real life gets busy again. I watched a whole season of something on a flight once, didn't make me rethink my whole TV routine.

Yeah the "free weekend" thing made me think of when my buddy lee733 tried to unplug at a cabin and just ended up watching bad reality TV on his phone the whole time. It's funny how those trips never go as planned.

Oh man @noahjenkins that reminds me of when my neighbor tried to go camping without his phone and ended up driving to the nearest gas station to buy a cheap tablet just to stream sports. Some people just can't help themselves.
