Coal vs propane for my little forge in Tulsa, picked one after 2 weeks

Finally had to choose between getting a coal forge or sticking with my propane burner for the small projects I do. I went with coal cause the propane tank refills were eating like 40 bucks a week. First fire with the coal was messy but once I got the draft right my little knife blade hit temp way faster than I expected. Anyone else made the switch and gone back or is coal just a rabbit hole?

Coal's a trap, you'll be chasing draft adjustments forever but the heat is worth it.

Draft adjustments are just a love language at this point, right? Nothing says romance like waking up at 3am to poke at a firebox.
