Found an old treadle hammer at a farm auction in Ohio

I drove out to a farm auction near Dayton last Saturday and spotted a beat-up treadle hammer buried behind a pile of tractor parts. The guy running the sale didn't even know what it was, so I got it for $45, and after a weekend of cleaning and oiling the pivot joints, it works like a charm for light riveting. Anybody else rescue old tools from estate sales like this, or am I just the only one dragging rusted iron home?
