Hit 500 horseshoes forged today, never kept count before

Been running my shop outside Tulsa for about 4 years now. Today I stacked up the finished shoes and just counted out of boredom. Five hundred on the nose, and I almost didn't believe it. Most of those were plain steel, maybe 40 were custom with copper inlay for dressage folks. It hit me that I've probably burned through 200 pounds of coal and a couple of anvils' worth of abuse to get there. My shoulder has been sore for months, but seeing that pile made it feel worth it. Anyone else ever hit a number like this and have it change how you see your work? Or am I just weird for counting at all?
