Am I the only one who misses calling a real person to fix a blocked account?
Got locked out of my own email last Tuesday for no reason, and the bot said my recovery info didn't match. I typed the same answers I gave them 8 years ago, but now there's a 30 second window and a robot voice telling me to try again later. Used to be you could call a number, wait on hold 20 minutes, and a guy named Ray in Tulsa would just flip a switch and say 'you're good.' Now I'm mailing a letter to an address in another state like it's 1994 and hoping someone reads it. How long did your last appeal take, and did a human ever actually read it?
It's everywhere now, not just email. You can't reach a human for your bank, your insurance, your cable, anything. They save money and we lose hours of our lives typing answers into a box that doesn't care. My last appeal took 11 days and I'm still not sure a person ever looked at it.
