DAE get their LinkedIn account locked for 72 hours after adding 40 people in one day?
Two years ago I added maybe 5 people a week, but last Tuesday I tried to grow my network fast and their bot flagged me as a spam account, locked me out, and made me upload my driver's license to prove I'm a real person, so what's the actual daily limit before their system turns on you?
I used to roll my eyes at people who said LinkedIn punishes you for adding too many people, figured they were just spamming and got what they deserved. Then it happened to me last month when I sent out like 30 invites in one sitting after a networking event, and boom, locked out and asked for my ID. Turns out the safe number is way lower than you'd guess, most folks say somewhere around 15 to 20 a day max, and even less if your account is newer or you've had flags before. What got me was that it's not just the count, it's the speed too, so if you're blasting them out in a few minutes their bot freaks out. I've since just spread them out, a handful in the morning and a few at night, and haven't had a problem since.
