My brother thinks appealing a bot ban is pointless, and I'm not sure he's wrong
My brother Mike works nights at a warehouse in Tulsa and he got his 8 year old account locked by an auto flag last month. He told me 'why bother, a robot made the call and a robot reads the appeal.' I said the appeal goes to a person, but after my own ticket sat untouched for 26 days I started wondering. So what's the real move here, keep filing or just make a new account and eat the loss?
My buddy ran a gaming clan with a forum account going back to 2011 and got hit by some spam filter last spring. He filed three appeals over two months, got one auto reply and then silence. Then he emailed a press address he found buried on the site and a real person answered in like four days, said the flag was a mistake, and gave him back the account. The appeals queue was just a black hole, but the side door worked. So filing again probably does nothing unless you find a way around the robot.
