Appreciation post: my game group's switch from Friday nights to Sunday afternoons
We used to meet every Friday at 8 PM, but after a year, I realized we were always tired and cranchy. Last month, we moved our sessions to Sunday at 2 PM, and it's been a total game changer (pun intended, sorry). We've finished three full campaigns of Gloomhaven in the past six weeks, which we could never do before. People actually read the rules ahead of time now, and we don't have that 10 PM slump where everyone wants to quit. Has anyone else found a specific time that just works better for their group's vibe?

Totally get the switch, but we actually found Sunday mornings work better. People are more fresh before lunch hits.

Sunday afternoons are the secret weapon for actually getting stuff done in a game. You've basically turned game night from a chore into a real hobby session. The best part is probably that people show up ready to play, not just ready to collapse after a work week. It makes the whole thing feel like an event you plan for, not just the last thing you do before the weekend ends.
