Dropped $60 on a Kickstarter minis game that took 14 months to show up, and the box was crushed
Backed a game called Ironwood Siege back in March of last year, mostly because the minis looked great and the stretch goals kept piling up. Fourteen months later the box shows up at my door in Cleveland with a dented corner and two figures snapped off the sprue. The rulebook is 32 pages of typos and the solo mode they promised is just a card that says roll a die, so it plays nothing like the demo videos. I sold the whole thing at a local swap meet for $15 and felt lucky to get that. Anyone else get burned by a campaign that looked amazing in the updates but showed up as a totally different game?
Man that hurts to read, 60 bucks and 14 months for a crushed box and broken minis is a rough deal. I got burned on a card game a while back where the finished rules were nothing like the playtest version they showed off, and the "exclusive" stuff was just cheap plastic tokens. The hype in those updates is real, but the game that lands on your porch is a whole other thing sometimes.
