Got told I sleeve too aggressively at game night

A buddy called me out for double sleeving my Spirit Island cards, said it makes the deck way too fat to shuffle. Now I only sleeve games I play 50+ times like Dominion, saves space and cash. Anyone else cut back after someone called them out?

Double sleeve everything just in case a drink gets spilled nearby - way cheaper than replacing a game.

Double sleeve everything" is overkill man. I only sleeve stuff that sees heavy table time or has cards I can't easily replace.
