Just realized I was shuffling my deck wrong for 6 months

I always just mashed my cards together like I saw people do on YouTube, but last week at a game night my friend pointed out that I was pushing the cards in way too hard and bending them. Turns out all those tiny creases on my favorite deck were from my bad shuffling technique, not wear and tear. She showed me how to do a proper overhand shuffle in like 2 minutes and it feels way smoother now. Anyone else figure out they've been playing a basic habit wrong this whole time?

Oh man, that's a rough one. I had something similar happen with how I was holding my hammer for years, just a small grip angle thing that was killing my wrist. You'd think something you do every day you'd have down pat. Glad you caught it before you wrecked any more decks, those things aren't cheap to replace.

Down pat" my ass, guess you and @johnthompson both need to work on muscle memory.
