Serious question, does it bother you when a player takes 10 minutes on their first turn?
I met this guy at a local game night who spent 15 minutes analyzing every single card in his hand before making a move. Does that ruin the flow for you or do you just let people play how they want?

Actually slow play is a sign of a serious player who respects the game. Most people who rush through their turns clearly don't care about strategy or making the right move. That guy taking 15 minutes on his first turn was probably calculating multiple paths to victory. That kind of careful thought makes the game better for everyone in the long run. You want people to just throw down cards randomly and then complain when they lose? Plus it gives you extra time to think about your own strategy while you wait.

Oh @patricia_wells I get where you're coming from but for me there's a big difference between thoughtful play and just feeling stuck. I mean if someone is genuinely studying the board and planning ahead that's one thing. But sitting there for 15 minutes on turn one in a casual game when there's barely anything on the board yet, idk that just feels more like anxiety than strategy.
