Swapped my foam insert for a $12 Plano box and my setup time went from 20 minutes to 4
I used to keep all my Gloomhaven chits in this big foam insert that came with the box. Took me about 20 minutes every time to sort out the monsters and coins and get everything laid out. Then a guy at my Tuesday night group in Boise showed me his setup and it blew my mind. He just uses a cheap Plano tackle box he grabbed for $12 at a sporting goods store. The little compartments hold the standees perfect and the lid is clear so you can see what is where without opening it. I switched over two months ago and my setup time went down to about 4 minutes. The foam was also starting to flake apart and leave dust on the cards which I did not love. The only downside is the box does not fit in the original game box, but I just keep it on the shelf next to it. Has anyone else found a cheaper storage fix that actually holds up? I am curious what you all use for games with a ton of small pieces.
