Read about a guy using a piece of chalk to mark his cut lines on pipe. He'd roll it like a tire to get a perfect circle, way faster than messing with a wrap-around. Made total sense once I saw it, just never crossed my mind before. Simple tricks like that save so much time when you're in a tight spot. Always stuck with me as a good example of field smarts beating textbook methods.
