I thought torque sticks were a gimmick until my foreman made me try one on a flange job in Gary
Been hand torquing every stud for 11 years and swore I'd never trust a torque stick, but he bet me lunch it would hold spec on 40 bolts and it did. Now I'm second guessing myself, what else am I doing the hard way just cause that's how I was taught?
