Rant: The union hall in Gary, Indiana needs better vent systems
I was working a shutdown at the BP plant in Whiting last week and stopped by the hall to grab a part. The air in the welding booth area was so thick you could taste the metal after 10 minutes. Anyone else’s local hall have ventilation problems or is it just ours?

Dude same. Our hall over in Portage has some days where the welding fumes just sit there and dont move. Had a guy pass out last summer from the heat and bad air combined, it was no joke. Union needs to step up and get some real fans or something in there before someone gets hurt for real.
