That $80 grinder from Harbor Freight died on me mid-weld prep
Picked up a cheap grinder to save some cash for a small job last week, and the trigger locked up after about 20 minutes of use. Tried to get a replacement but the return window was only 30 days and I missed it by a week. Anyone else had luck with their warranty or am I just out the money?

Harbor Freight stuff is built to the same standard as a 30 day return window.

that's just how it goes with harbor freight stuff honestly. they engineer everything around that 30 day window, not around lasting. same thing with their impact sockets i bought last year, started rounding off bolts right after the return date passed. it's like they know exactly how long you need something to work before it breaks and they time it perfectly. sucks you got burned on the grinder though, those triggers are the first thing to go on any cheap tool.
