Dropped $90 on that fancy book club app last month

I signed up for this app that claimed to organize all our debate notes and voting, but after three weeks it kept crashing every time someone posted a long take on the ending. Lost all my notes on two novels because the autosave never worked right. Anyone else get burned by a tool that was supposed to make book club easier?

Man, that's rough! My buddy Sarah dropped $60 on some reading tracker app and it wiped out her whole library of annotations right before her group's big discussion night. She was so mad she almost threw her phone across the room. Now she just uses a plain notebook and a shared Google Doc with her friends. Sometimes the simple stuff really is the best way to go, you know?

Had the same thing happen with a note-taking app a couple years back. Lost all my recipes and meal plans for the week right before a big dinner party, it was a disaster. Switched to a spiral notebook and a shared Trello board with my partner ever since. Simple and never lets me down, plus it's free and doesn't need a wifi signal to work (which is a lifesaver when I'm cooking in the basement).
