Finally finished a book after 3 months of false starts
Honestly, I've been in a reading slump since last October. I started like 5 different books and couldn't get past page 30 on any of them. Then last Tuesday I picked up 'A Psalm for the Wild-Built' by Becky Chambers and read the whole thing in two sittings. It's only 150 pages but for me that's a big win. Has anyone else had a short book break a long slump for them?

Short books are a total cheat code honestly. I was stuck on a 400 page fantasy novel for weeks and finally ditched it for 'The Grownup' by Gillian Flynn, which is like 60 pages. Read it in one night and the momentum carried me into a full trilogy after that. Pair it with a cozy spot and no phone nearby, your brain just remembers how to focus again without the pressure of a big commitment.

I was listening to a podcast about reading burnout and they said short books are a cheat code for getting back into it. That Chambers book is supposed to be great for that exact reason, kind of a warm hug in book form. Glad it worked for you.
