Found out my favorite book from 2015 was actually ghostwritten
I was scrolling through some old book club notes last night and decided to look up my favorite thriller from 2015, 'Dead End Road.' Turns out a different author wrote it under a pen name. The whole thing blew my mind because I remember us debating the writing style for two meetings straight. Makes me wonder how many other popular books are written by people we never hear about. Has anyone else ever had a book club pick that turned out to be ghostwritten?

happened to me with one of those big name authors a few years back and honestly it doesn't really matter in the long run. if the story was good and you enjoyed it, the name on the cover is just a marketing thing. what I'd say is just enjoy the book for what it is and maybe look up the actual writers other work if you liked the style. ghostwriting is way more common than people realize, especially in thriller and romance.
