Had to pick between a paperback and an audiobook for my book club read last month
Ngl, our club was split right down the middle on this one. Half of us wanted the physical copy from Barnes & Noble, the other half pushed for audiobooks on Libby. I went with the paperback because I like dog-earing pages, but I missed out on the group chat where everyone dissected the narrator's pacing. Honestly, the debate got heated and I ended up borrowing the audiobook from a friend just to see what the fuss was about. Has anyone else's club had a format war like this?

My buddy's club did that and someone actually threw a book across the room over chapter pacing.

Throwing a book is wild, but honestly that kind of energy is what makes book clubs memorable. Next thing you know someone's gonna narrate the whole thing in a British accent just to prove a point.
