Round table voting tie, all three of us picked differently

Three of us run a small sci-fi club and last Tuesday we had to pick between two novellas for next month's read. I went with the robot farming one, the other two split, one wanted the alien archaeology and one hated both. What do you do when a tie in a three person vote leaves the group stuck?

Remember one time our game night group had three players and a tie for the next campaign setting. We spent two hours arguing about a desert world versus a water world, then the third guy voted for a space station just to mess with us. Ended up flipping a coin and the loser got to pick the snacks. So we all got what we wanted in a weird way. Maybe just read both novellas and have a double feature month? Or let the guy who hated both pick the snacks and read the other two choices anyway. That kept the peace for us, mostly.
