Saw a debate blow up at my book club over the last chapter of "The Great Gatsby"

I host a book club in Portland and last night two members nearly walked out arguing about whether Gatsby was actually in love with Daisy or just obsessed with her money and status. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of split in their group?

Yeah, but did you see the follow up where he admitted he was wrong? I actually felt bad for the guy, he seemed genuinely embarrassed about the whole thing. It's easy to sit here and laugh but we've all done dumb stuff in traffic when we're in a hurry. Nothing like getting caught on camera to humble you real quick. Hope he's doing alright after all that.

Totally agree @robin489, I once honked at a grandma for going too slow and she was just trying to find her wedding ring that fell off, oops.
