Spent $45 on a fancy bookmark that doubles as a page light and it broke after 2 uses

I grabbed this little gadget from a shop in Denver because I read mostly at night before sleep. The light part worked great the first night but the clip snapped on day two. Has anyone else found a decent reading light that actually lasts longer than a week?

I used to think those bookmark lights were a solid buy but your post just changed my mind completely. Guess I'll stick to my old clip on lamp that's held up for years.

Oh you've been through it too huh? The clip on lamp is the real MVP honestly. I've had mine for like six years and it's still going strong... those bookmark lights always end up with a dead battery at the worst possible time. Plus with a clip on you can angle it just right so you're not fighting with shadows or glare on the page.
