The reading order trick that fixed our club's biggest fight
Our club in Portland spent three meetings arguing over whether we should read the sequel right after the first book or take a break. Finally someone suggested we read the last chapter of book one, then jump straight into book two's first chapter at the same session. We tried it with a mystery series and the debate just dissolved, people saw the cliffhanger differently when it was fresh. Has anyone else used a similar bridging technique to settle a schedule dispute, or do you just vote and move on?

Ha! So the fix for people arguing about how to read a book was to read MORE book in one sitting. Genius. Next week you guys can solve your snack debates by just eating the chips and the dip at the same time.
Honestly though, that's such a Portland solution. We don't solve problems, we just reframe them until everyone's too tired to fight. Maybe try it with your club's next big issue, like whether to meet at the library or the bar. Spoiler: the answer is always both.
