After several messy attempts, I think marbled endpapers are more trouble than they're worth.
Stick to solid colors for a cleaner, more professional finish.

But what about the really subtle marbled papers... the ones with just a hint of color variation? I feel like those can still look pro without the crazy patterns that go wrong so easily.

Yeah, marbling was a disaster for me too. I found that a simple solid color gives a much cleaner look without all the hassle.
