Hit 100 hand-sewn headbands and finally got the rhythm down

Honestly I set a goal to hand-sew 100 headbands before trying a more complicated technique. It took me about 4 months of weekend work to get there. The first 20 were rough and uneven, but around 50 I started seeing real improvement. By the time I hit 100 they looked clean and tight, like something from a shop. It mattered because it showed me that repetition is the only way to get good at this craft. Has anyone else tracked a specific milestone like that and seen a big shift in your skills?

Oh wow, that's a really cool way to track progress. Did you find that your stitching rhythm changed a LOT between headband 50 and 100, or was it more about confidence and speed?

Was that moment around headband 50 where things started clicking for you, @the_riley? I had a similar thing happen with my first batch of cloth napkins - the first 30 or so were all over the place and my stitches looked like a toddler did them. But around the 60 mark I noticed my hands just knew where to go without me even thinking about it, and the tension got way more even. It's wild how your muscle memory suddenly catches up if you just keep at it long enough.
