I always thought my old bone folder was fine until I tried a teflon one
I was working on a leather journal last week and kept getting tiny marks on the cover when I creased it. My teacher at the Chicago workshop said 'just borrow mine for a minute' and handed me her teflon folder. The difference was INSTANT, no marks at all and it slid so much smoother. I've been fighting my bone tool for three years for no reason. Anyone have a brand they like for the teflon kind that won't break the bank?

Been there, my old bone folder left shiny streaks on dark paper that drove me crazy. I grabbed a basic teflon folder from a craft store years ago and it's still going strong. The brand name rubbed off but it was from the Fiskars section. What kind of leather are you working with for your journals?

Shiny streaks on dark paper" is my middle name, I'm basically a walking craft fail. I'm using some veg tan scraps, which is great because my teflon folder mistakes just add "character".
