Just finished my 100th repair job and the number shocked me
I was cleaning up the workshop last night and counted all my repair tickets from this year. Hit exactly 100. That's 100 books people brought in because they were falling apart or damaged. It made me realize how much sentimental value is tied to physical books. A lady cried last week when I fixed her great-grandmother's cookbook. The spine was gone and the pages were loose. Are you guys seeing more repair work too, or is it just me?

Man, my own books look worse than that after I try to fix them.

That's a crazy number. Honestly, what's the most common type of damage you see? Like are most of them just broken spines from being read a lot, or do you get a lot of water damage or pet-chewed books? I'd guess family stuff like that cookbook is the worst to fix up.

Ever notice how water damage makes the pages feel weird and crunchy? I had a library book get left in a wet gym bag once and it never really recovered. That kind of damage just feels like a lost cause to me.
