Overheard a guy at the craft fair say he uses PVA glue for leather binding
He said it holds better than hide glue and dries faster, but I've always heard PVA gets brittle over time on leather so do you stick with traditional hide glue or make the switch for convenience?

Funny how we do that with everything now, trade something that works fine for something that's just faster or easier and cross our fingers it doesn't fall apart later.

Whole world's like that now, people swap out proven methods just cause the new one's quicker, then act surprised when it doesn't last. Guess we just want everything done yesterday even if it means redoing it later.
