Straight razor for $45 saved my paring knife and my fingers

I kept fighting with my cheap paring knife trying to trim book cloth and it was shredding everything. After slicing my thumb for the third time last month I bought a proper straight razor handle and blades for $45. Night and day difference. Clean cuts on leather and cloth, no more dragging or tearing. The blades snap off safely so I don't have to sharpen anything either. Anyone else switched to a razor for trimming and never looked back?
