Swapped my wheat paste for methyl cellulose and I'm never going back

I was having so much trouble with my cloth covers bubbling up after a few days. Tried everything with the wheat paste, thinner layers, letting it sit longer, nothing worked. Finally grabbed some methyl cellulose from a art supply shop downtown after a friend in Portland swore by it. Night and day difference, the adhesion is way more forgiving and I can reposition stuff for a solid 30 seconds. Has anyone else found a game changer like this for their book cloth?

Honestly that stuff is a total game changer, once you try it you can't go back.

That's kinda how it is with most things once you get past the initial hump. People stick with the old way just because it's comfortable, even when the new way is clearly better once you put in a little time with it. Same thing happened with my buddy and his cordless power tools, he swore by his old corded stuff until he actually used a good battery set for a day, now he won't touch a cord again. It's funny how our brains set up this invisible wall against change until we're forced to just try something new.
