That YouTube book press advice nearly ruined my spines

Some guy with 200k subscribers said you should clamp books overnight with maximum pressure. I did that to a batch of 12 journals last Tuesday and the spines all cracked when I opened them. Turns out he was using a different glue formula that cures harder. Backed off to light pressure for 4 hours and it works fine. Anyone else get bad advice from popular channels that only work for their setup?

Truthfully you probably clamped too long or your glue was too soft, their method works fine if you follow it exactly...
