Unpopular opinion: I stopped using PVA glue for bookbinding after reading a 1920s manual
I found a digitized copy of Douglas Cockerell's old bookbinding guide from the British Library site and he swears by flour paste for strength, so I tried it on my last three rebinds and honestly the pages lay flatter than anything I ever got with PVA has anyone else gone back to traditional adhesives for certain projects?

Right on, that's really cool you gave the old school method a shot and it worked out so well.

Yeah old school stuff still works sometimes. Nice to see it pay off for someone.
