Update: a 90 minute rounding job at my bench turned into 3 days because of one bone folder
I kept getting a crease mark on the spine of a rebind and blamed my press, my boards, and the paper for 2 days before I finally tested my bone folder and found a tiny nick on the edge that was biting into the cloth every pass, so now I check every tool edge under a lamp before I start instead of trusting that it is fine, has anyone else chased a ghost like that and found it was just one dumb tool?
