Appreciation post: my basil plant went from sad to huge in two weeks

Left it on the kitchen windowsill, forgot to water it for like five days. Moved it outside and gave it some fish fertilizer. Now it's a monster. Anyone know why moving it made such a big difference?

It's just a plant. They grow when you water them and give them sun. Not exactly a miracle.

Look at what Jordan said, it's not just about water and sun. Moving it outside gave it way more light than a kitchen window, even a sunny one. That fish fertilizer is also packed with stuff plants love, way more than regular plant food. The combo of real sun and super food is what made it explode.
