Appreciation post: my basil plant went from sad to huge in two weeks

Left it on the kitchen windowsill, forgot to water it for like five days. Moved it outside and gave it some fish fertilizer. Now it's a monster. Anyone know why moving it made such a big difference?

It's just a plant. They grow when you water them and give them sun. Not exactly a miracle.

I used to agree, but watching my kid's bean sprout changed my mind.
