Local garden club's membership doubled this season, and I'm weirdly proud.
It feels like everyone's finally catching the plant bug around here.

What's next, a compost coup?

Seriously? It's a garden club, not some big movement. Doubling could just mean going from ten people to twenty (you know how these small town groups are). Feels like we're calling every little uptick a major trend these days. I'm just not convinced it means people are suddenly all that into plants.

True, going from ten to twenty people isn't exactly a revolution. It might just be a couple of new families moving to town or a one-time event. Local groups often see small bumps that don't mean much in the bigger picture. Calling it a trend feels like we're stretching to find a story where there isn't one. Remember when the book club doubled because the library closed for repairs? That wasn't a reading revival.
