Did you have any kind of backup set up or did you just come home to crispy orchids? I used to think orchids were tough enough to handle a few dry days and that people were babying them too much with all the misting and humidity trays. Then I went away for a long weekend and came back to shriveled buds and accordion leaves, and man that changed my mind fast. Six weeks of growth gone is brutal, that's like watching months of patience just evaporate. Next time maybe set the humidifier on a timer with a big reservoir, or honestly just move the plants to the bathroom and close the door while you're gone lol.
